You might think it would spoil the interior of a full-size car, but it didn’t. Mazda was able to reserve his three rows, enough for his eight-seater in the CX-90. This is thanks to a platform that allows for a long wheelbase.
On the outside, the design looks familiar, but different. There are obvious similarities to his non-US spec CX-60. We spent a lot of time creating a Mazda-like exterior. It has unexpected chrome and curves. Like the front fascia with its chrome grille surround and the curved taillights positioned roughly in the middle of the tailgate. The Mazda designer says the car’s appearance changes throughout his day, meaning the curves of the body create a changing look and intentionally reflect light and shadow.

It’s equipped with what Mazda calls M-Hybrid Boost, a mild-hybrid setup that places an electric motor between the engine and transmission to improve engine response.
Mazda plans to announce pricing for the CX-90 in February before it arrives in dealer lots this spring.
