After a relatively short production run, the Aston Martin DBS is preparing to head into the sunset. The British company unveiled the final version of his V12-powered supercar as a coupe in January 2023, with a convertible introduced to suit the rising temperatures.

Most of the updates made to the DBS 770 Ultimate have been carried over to the Volante (which means ‘convertible’ in Aston Martin). Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine tuned to produce 759 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 664 pounds. Torque in feet from -1,800 to 5,000 rpm. The front-mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine accelerates the DBS 770 Ultimate from zero to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds, reaching a top speed of 211 mph. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission mounted on the rear wheels, improving the vehicle’s weight distribution.

Aston Martin points out that they have also made changes to the steering and suspension system to improve handling. The steering column has a particularly sturdy mount and comes standard with a carbon-ceramic braking system with a huge 16.1-inch front rotor to hold back 44 additional horses. .

Visually, the Volante gets carbon fiber exterior trim, a hood with extra vents for better cooling, a redesigned front splitter and a new-looking rear diffuser. It is available with Pirellisotto Zero II winter tires designed exclusively for the DBS, but rides edition-specific 21-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Step inside and you’ll find 12-way power adjustable Sport Plus seats and center console straps. The list of standard equipment includes an 8.0-inch infotainment system display, a 360-degree camera and auto parking technology.

The sky is the limit when it comes to options. Aston Martin offers carbon fiber performance seats, wood or carbon fiber interior trim, a heated GT steering wheel, Bang & Olufsen sound system, ventilated front seats and more. There is also an optional umbrella.

Production of the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is limited to 499 units worldwide, including 300 coupés and 199 convertibles, with full production numbers already announced. No pricing has been announced, but keep in mind that a standard DBS will cost over $300,000.
