The host’s talk show ran from 1991 to 2018.
Longtime talk show host Jerry Springer died Thursday at the age of 79 at his home in the Chicago suburbs.
“Jerry’s ability to connect with people has been central to all his successes in politics, broadcasting, and joking with people on the street wanting pictures and words.” said in a statement.
“He was irreplaceable and his loss will be very painful, but the memory of his intelligence, heart and humor will live on,” Galvin continued.
Springer is best known for the ever-controversial The Jerry Springer Show, which ran in syndication from 1991 to 2018. He recently hosted the syndicated courtroom show “Judge Jerry,” but after 3 his seasons he was canceled in early 2022.
