A new leak reveals that Nintendo fans have seen both Yoshi and Fire Mario for the first time in the new Mario movie. According to the leak, the figure in question is a prototype and doesn’t look very good, which is good news for anyone considering purchasing. reveals should probably be taken with a grain of salt.
That’s right, the leaked figures include Yoshi and Fire Mario, neither of which we’ve seen in movie form yet. is similar to the Fire Mario version of Mario in the movies.

For now, this is just a leak, so please consider all that is said here. In addition to this, there is a leaked note that the figure pictured is a prototype.
At the time of publication, none of the officials have commented on this. If this changes I will update the story accordingly. Expect radio silence as the leak surfaced online over the holidays, but leaks like this don’t usually elicit comment, so holiday or not, this probably won’t change.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is set to release on April 7th in the US and April 28th in Japan. How well it will do remains to be seen, but its considerable hype, the IP that comes with it, and the fact that video game adaptations are trending right now suggest a big box office draw.
