My husband loves pea soup. I’ve made it for him several times when we were newlyweds and so far he hasn’t been impressed every time.
Finally, as an adult, I’ve found a pea soup that I love, neither love nor endure. This slow-cooker split pea soup is made with chives, ham, and potatoes.

When I hit this split pea soup for a rainy day A few years ago, I decided to give split pea soup another chance.
Luckily, I already had ham bones in the freezer (leftovers from Christmas dinner), so I made split pea soup the same day with ham bones in the crockpot. At hand.
