HGTV star Ty Pennington This week, just two days after attending a fancy event, I had a minor health problem.barbie]premiere.
Posted by a 58-year-old TV personality. his verified instagram Friday included a photo merry-go-round, which began with the caption, “From the red carpet to the ICU… Last week was fun!”
He also let his followers know that he is “okay now, (and) still recovering.”
“To explain why I became MIA,” he added. “I showed up on the @barbiethemovie red carpet on Sunday, flew to Colorado to start shooting in Breckenridge on Monday, and then woke up at 4am Tuesday morning and could barely breathe.”
“As it turned out, the sore throat I had last month was actually an abscess that had grown so large that it was blocking my airway,” he continued. “The next thing I knew, I was intubated and taken to her ICU in Denver. I had surgery on Wednesday and was discharged from the ICU yesterday afternoon.”
“All the wonderful staff at St. Anthony’s in Lakewood, Colorado and Summit Health in Frisco took such great care of me,” Pennington added, adding that the terrifying experience was “a voice of my own body.” It was a wonderful memory that reminded me of listening to when it is telling you something. ”
The merry-go-round of images he shared began with a photo of him showing a thumbs up in a hospital bed, followed by shots of him at the movie premiere. The third image is the state of being intubated at the hospital.
However, the “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” star referred to another photo on the carousel, showing a piece of paper with the phrase “you need to wear a speedometer” written on it hard to get things going. We finished on a light note.
He ended the caption with, “Good to know I was still in the right state of mind, even with heavy sedatives…” and added the hashtag “#speedosforlife.”
