College football recruiting: 2023 National Signing Day schedule, key announcement times, predictions, picks

As the first Wednesday of February arrives, the traditional national signing day for the 2023 hiring cycle will take center stage on the college football calendar this week. The college has already made its decision when the early contract period begins in December, but there are still some notable prospects to watch during the National Signing Day celebrations.

There are five remaining Top247 prospects who have yet to announce their college destinations. Six if you count four-star QB Jayden Rashada. Jayden Rashada signed with Florida during the early signing period, but was eventually granted his National release from his Letter of Intent. But Rashada doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to announce his next destination. Still, all eyes are on his five other recruits in his Top247 who are ready to take the next step in their football career.

So when will these recruits be announced live on National Signing Day? Below are the top commitments scheduled to take place on Wednesday, along with their projected landing spots. 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions.

  • 1pm — 5 Star ATH Nicholls Harbor: Harbor, the most notable uncommitted prospect, traveled to Oregon last weekend as hopes for the 2024 Summer Olympics run high with the vaunted Ducks Trucks program.   • 1:30 PM — 4 Star CB Rodrick Pleasant: California’s defending 100m and 200m champions, Pleasant was in the Final 5 at Boston College, California, Oregon, UCLA and USC. But the standout battle for trucks seems to have come down to Oregon vs. USC. Crystal ball: N/A
  • Undecided — Four star OL Chimdi Onoh: Following a trip to Michigan State University last weekend, one of the top offensive lineman contenders visited Ole Miss last weekend. He also visited Rutgers University in December. Crystal Ball: Pennsylvania State University
