There’s a lot of fashion on the French Riviera these days. Although some were witnessed by guests of the Monaco Grand Prix (hello bad bunny by jean paul gaultier hugging the torso), many of which came from the Cannes Film Festival, which closed on Saturday.
There were dresses and tuxes galore, as you’d expect from a bevy of A-list celebrities attending a star-studded festival in a particularly glamorous location. But in contrast to the Oscars and other award ceremonies, Cannes hosts a number of daytime events, giving many festival-goers repeated opportunities to dress up and take style risks, some of them others. ‘s awards ceremony was more successful.
During the nearly two-week long festival, there were many outfits that caught our attention, including Jennifer Lawrence’s outfit. Dior red gown and flip flops (Most comfortable!); Naomi Campbell’s Valentino dress and flowing pink feather cloak (so fantastic!); and the nearly identical tan linen blazer worn by media exec David Zaslav and editor Graydon Carter as co-hosts at a Warner Bros. movie studio party. (It was the most coordinated!).
But 20 looks on this list stood out from most. Some were unexpected, some were perfect. Importantly, all elicited strong opinions.

To match a cornflower blue Del Core dress (and nails), the actress had blue streaks in her wavy silver hair, a color that recalled the bubbly sea.
