There’s a lot of fashion on the French Riviera these days. Although some were witnessed by guests of the Monaco Grand Prix (hello bad bunny by jean paul gaultier hugging the torso), many of which came from the Cannes Film Festival, which closed on Saturday.

There were dresses and tuxes galore, as you’d expect from a bevy of A-list celebrities attending a star-studded festival in a particularly glamorous location. But in contrast to the Oscars and other award ceremonies, Cannes hosts a number of daytime events, giving many festival-goers repeated opportunities to dress up and take style risks, some of them others. ‘s awards ceremony was more successful.

During the nearly two-week long festival, there were many outfits that caught our attention, including Jennifer Lawrence’s outfit. Dior red gown and flip flops (Most comfortable!); Naomi Campbell’s Valentino dress and flowing pink feather cloak (so fantastic!); and the nearly identical tan linen blazer worn by media exec David Zaslav and editor Graydon Carter as co-hosts at a Warner Bros. movie studio party. (It was the most coordinated!).

Actress Paco Rabanne’s metallic dress was suspended with what looked like questionable blades, slashing her skirt to anyone who got too close.

Actress Christopher Boo’s dress had a design depicting a roaring tiger in a bamboo forest printed up to the train of the dress.

Wearing oversized cat-eye sunglasses and a belted Dior mini dress (and matching jacket), she brought the former First Lady’s style to La Croisette.

It seemed impossible that the trio of actors in Pedro Almodóvar’s queer western, Strange Way of Life, hadn’t pre-planned their three voyeuristic Saint Laurent looks.

A subdued hairstyle softened the drama of the actress’s floral Valentino cape dress and three-tiered earrings by Native American designer Jamie Okuma.

The singer paired a sophisticated one-shoulder Celine dress with jewelry, tattoos, and accessories that included hers. reported boyfriendfilm director Romain Gavras.

A model set the carpet ablaze in a Robert Wang dress with burn marks. Over her head was a ragged veil that matched her worn dress.

again largely Her Age: The 24-year-old actress’s sequined Chanel mini dress was made in 1994 and is a few years older than her.

Look behind the gloved model’s hands and you’ll notice the hourglass silhouette of Balenciaga’s double-breasted suit jacket, which tapers sharply toward the waist.

The actress’ pink Prada sheath dress with contrasting white top and straps gave the illusion of authenticity. exposed bra.

The member of Blackpink was White’s Vision. Specifically, Chanel’s bridal dress was (slightly) less sweetened by the black tulle that protruded from the bodice.

The green and blue stripes on the actor’s pale Paul Smith suit were as dangerous as the thick soles of those same shoes.

A Ukrainian influencer climbed the stairs of the festival’s red carpet in a gown in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, popping a balloon filled with red liquid over her head. Security guards were among those who witnessed her fashion statement, who quickly pulled her off the carpet.

Her tweed Chanel sweater set and pink bleached jolt were textbook festival style: music festival style.
