Dreamville Festival starting time pushed back to 2 p.m. With Level 1 risk, planners share how that changes things

Dreamville Festival organizers have postponed Saturday’s schedule due to the threat of rain and windy weather during the day.

On Friday night, the festival announced that the gates would open at 2pm on Saturday due to expected high winds and possible lightning. The festival’s social media pages noted that new performance times would be announced with additional updates on Saturday morning. The gate was originally scheduled to open at noon.

There’s a 60% chance of rain on Saturday when Dreamville starts at Dick’s Park in Raleigh.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend.

WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said, “Storms are most likely to form between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.” I will.”
