Dreamville Festival organizers have postponed Saturday’s schedule due to the threat of rain and windy weather during the day.
On Friday night, the festival announced that the gates would open at 2pm on Saturday due to expected high winds and possible lightning. The festival’s social media pages noted that new performance times would be announced with additional updates on Saturday morning. The gate was originally scheduled to open at noon.
There’s a 60% chance of rain on Saturday when Dreamville starts at Dick’s Park in Raleigh.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend.

WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said, “Storms are most likely to form between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.” I will.”
There is also a wind advisory that expects gusts of 35 to 45 mph.

“The City of Raleigh is working with festival organizers to monitor weather conditions for Saturday.In the event of inclement weather, we have plans to do so as the situation warrants and provide notice at that time. The festival is likely to run rain or shine, so fans should consider ponchos and rain boots to prepare for Saturday night’s messy conditions even after the rain has stopped.
The final day of the festival, Sunday, should be dry, but the ground can get very muddy.
Speaking to WRAL News, fans said their excitement hasn’t died down.
“You may have to wear off-brand sneakers for this event,” said Nagy Grampus, who traveled from New York for the festival. “But it’s going to be a great time.”
