when Dyson announced Earlier this year, the company kept a few details to itself. Specifically, Dyson hasn’t announced pricing or availability, nor has it said much about battery life. Let’s start with the details that everyone wants to know. When the wearable arrives in the US next March, it will start at $949, .

First, Dyson will begin accepting pre-orders via pre-order before the headphones are available on its website and demo stores nationwide. In the US, he offers the wearable in two colorways: Ultra Blue/Prussian Blue and Prussian Blue/Bright Copper. The latter is only available directly from the company, but it comes with a few extras like a second electrostatic carbon filter, a soft pouch, and an in-flight adapter kit.

Both the standard and Dyson Direct models come with Zone’s signature visor, as well as a dedicated sleeve and cleaning brush. According to Dyson, electrostatic filters are rated to last up to 12 months before needing replacement. The filter features a dual layer design incorporating potassium-rich carbon to trap acid gases such as nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and ozone. Overall, the company claims the filter blocks 99% of the particles he contains, including particles as small as 0.1 microns.

On the audio side, the Zone headphones are capable of up to 38 decibels of noise cancellation and feature 40mm neodymium drivers. Using the MyDyson companion app, you can choose from three audio equalization modes called Dyson EQ, Bass Boost and Neutral. At launch, the headphones will support SBC, AAC, LHDC audio codecs, and Bluetooth 5.0.

Battery life depends on how extensively you use Zone’s air filtration features. When not powering the visor, the Zone’s 2,600mAh battery provides up to 50 hours of playtime on a single charge. Using Visor on its slowest setting cuts battery life down to just 4 hours. Increasing the purification rate to the Medium and High flow settings further reduces battery life to 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours respectively. Dyson says it takes about 3 hours to go from zero to 100% battery using USB-C charging. In other words, you have to choose when to use the visor.
