Maggie Spivey Faulkner Anthropologist and indigenous archaeologist practitioner, currently working as an assistant professor at a university. Department of Anthropology at the University of Alberta. She also serves as Deputy Chief of the Upper Georgia Tribal City of the Pee Dee Indian Nation of Beaver Creek, a state-sanctioned Native American group in South Carolina. Her research focuses on using anthropological data to subvert harmful misconceptions about Native Americans embedded in public policy, science, and public consciousness.

Maggie grew up in a large, close-knit family in rural Hepzibah, Georgia. She is an International Fellow of the Explorers Club, a former Junior Fellow of the Harvard Association of Fellows, and a recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. She got her Ph.D. She received her BA in Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2018 and her BA in 2008 from Harvard University.

Joshua L. Steiner is a partner of southwest southwest, a private investment firm, Bloomberg, LP, and previously served as industry vertical head. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Steiner privately co-founded and served as co-president of his equity and asset management firm, Quadrangle Group, LLC. Prior to co-founding Quadrangle, he was Managing Director at Lazard. From 1993 until 1995 he served as Chief of Staff to the US Treasury Department.

He serves on the boards of Yale University, the International Rescue Commission, and the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Steiner received a BA in History from Yale University and completed his Master’s Degree. He holds a PhD in modern history from Oxford University.
