We all agree that the culture has changed in the last 30-40 years. Since the 1980s, movies and television have been permeated with unfair sexual content. When the Bible was no longer a priority in people’s lives, they replaced it with entertainment. When people watch TV more than they read the Bible, they can easily understand what is right and what is wrong. It’s confusing. Since we live in a post-Christian country, the values the Bible upholds are no longer the ultimate authority. Many people, including Christians, believe they can decide what is right and wrong for their lives. This has created a culture where wrong is right and right is wrong. Moreover, the average church member attends church only once a month. This is in stark contrast to the 60s and 70s, when parents prioritized church and prioritized Wednesday night Bible study. Because of this, sin (especially sexual) has become more casual, and more people than ever are falling into it. Here are his five reasons why culture has made sex more casual.
