One generation will praise your deeds to another and proclaim your great deeds.
Once upon a time, when our family gathered at my husband’s grandparents’ house, my husband’s grandfather would sit at the head of the table and suddenly start singing. I can still see him singing, “Forever victorious through Jesus my Savior,” as he called on everyone at the table to join in. It’s the image of him that I will never forget.
As one generation praises the Lord’s mighty deeds to another generation, the message is: faith, hope and love come through. I can’t think of a more influential way for grandparents to leave their mark on the extended family.
I am so inspired by the wonderful work of the Lord that I cannot help but declare it.
Merciful God,
How wonderful is your work done on our behalf. We praise you today. Thank you for motivating us to declare your great deeds to our family. Father, I have no doubt that you love and cherish us as grandparents. Please help us to make our families aware of our importance. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
