Stay at Casanova dei Boschi: Tuscan 18th Century Farmhouse

We recently spent 5 nights at this charming hotel. Casanova dei Boschi, is an 18th-century farmhouse in the heart of the Orcia Valley, Tuscany. If you want a fairytale getaway filled with rustic charm and breathtaking views, this is the place to stay.

With five bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room, and wood-burning fireplace, this hotel is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family.

I stayed at Casanova dei Boschi with my parents and baby Oliver who was 10 months old at the time and it was like a childhood fantasy coming true. We enjoyed lazy mornings in the garden, hired a private chef for a cooking class one night, and sipped wine by the fireplace each night.

we found a farmer Vrbo!there were actually a lot of great things Villas in Orchha Valleybut we chose this farmhouse for its ideal location.

We love the homely atmosphere that Vrbo provides, allowing us to enjoy quality time together without being bound by hotel schedules or limited space. The flexibility to cook a meal, relax in your private living area, or access your private pool and garden adds extra convenience and enjoyment.

Now that we are traveling as a family, Vrbo listings often feature kid-friendly features such as proximity to playgrounds and attractions, making it easier for families to plan activities and cost less. I love being able to travel with

place

Imagine rolling hills covered with vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees as far as the eye can see. Welcome to Casanova dei Boschi. His restored 17th-century villa embodies the essence of Tuscany.

Upon arrival, we were immediately transported into a world of calm and tranquility with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the soothing sound of birds chirping.

Just a 10-minute drive from the picturesque village of Montepulciano, this farmhouse is centrally located yet feels completely immersed in the countryside.

About Farmhouse

From the moment we arrived at the property by car, we knew we were in for a treat. The farmhouse has traditional Tuscan decor and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

We loved the romantic details like the rustic wood beams, colorful kitchen tiles, and huge wood-burning fireplace.

The rustic accommodations might sound ‘outdated’, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the latest appliances, plenty of outlets, and even super-fast WiFi.

I didn’t need it during my stay, but it would have been nice to have!

The farmhouse was also very child friendly. They provide a pack n play and a high chair and the upstairs room has 2 twin beds and even a toy to play with, perfect for older kids.

But what we liked most about this farmhouse was the panoramic views of the countryside from every window. Everywhere you look it looks like a postcard!

Activity content

One of the highlights of our stay was exploring the surrounding villages and indulging in wine tasting. Our favorite village of Montepulciano in the Orcia Valley is just a 10 minute drive away. Pienza and Montalcino are also a short drive away.

But our favorite day was the day we visited Bagni San Filippo’s Fosso Bianco.

A fairytale hot spring just 35 minutes drive from the farmhouse! Bathe in sulfur hot springs surrounded by dense pine forests and limestone hills.

Tuscan cooking class

cooking class

Our host was also very kind and introduced us to a local chef we had organized to host a cooking class at the farmhouse one evening. We listened to classical Italian music while she showed us how to make traditional Tuscan dishes such as fresh pasta from scratch.

Best of all, she was incredibly tolerant of dietary restrictions.

As a practicing gluten-free, dairy-free, and pescatarian family, we aren’t always the easiest to feed. She was so understanding and even prepared to make gluten free and dairy free tiramisu. And it was so delicious.

In my opinion

Casanova dei Boschi It captivated my heart with its timeless beauty and enchanting surroundings. A place to get away from the world and immerse yourself in the charm of Tuscany.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic retreat or just a quiet getaway with your family, this farmhouse is a great destination. Check out the farmer here Or find your own special getaway with Vrbo.

Pack your bags, leave your worries behind and enjoy the magic of Casanova dei Boschi. A Tuscan fairy tale awaits.
