Ashley Graham has Jason Kennedy’s stamp of approval after an awkward Hugh Grant interview at the Oscars 2023 red carpet.
“Don’t worry @ashleygraham… Now I know why Hugh Grant is not one of my favorite live interviews,” the entertainment journalist tweeted on Sunday.
“Good job getting around his nonsense,” continued the 41-year-old.
When a Twitter troll wrote that Graham, 35, “should have been more strategic” in an interview with actor Kennedy came to her defense.
E! The personality revealed that “there was no one else to talk to,” adding, “It wasn’t her phone, it was pre-made for a broadcast like that.”
Graham’s lofty exchange with Grant went viral over the weekend, with the Golden Globe winner giving a short, clipped answer to her question, and an eye-rolling clip went viral.
The model reacted to the exchange TMZ interview The next day, she said her goal was to be “kind and kill people.”
The “American Beauty Star” host neglected to elaborate on Grant’s demeanor, but she gushed about “a good time” doing pre-show coverage for ABC.
The “Notting Hill” star, for his part, has yet to publicly address the viral moment.
Last week, Grant admitted to having a crush on a “nice local lady” on the set of the upcoming movie Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Ang Thieves.
