What is Cookie Monster Ice Cream? An ice cream with lots of cookie chunks in sweet vanilla ice cream. This is Cookie Monster’s version of Cookies and Cream ice cream and everyone who tries it loves it.

Don’t like food coloring? Skip the blue coloring. Ice cream is delicious with or without ice cream.

For the ultimate Cookie Monster ice cream flavor, I highly recommend serving this ice cream in a cone, preferably an Oreo or chocolate chip cookie ice cream cone if you can find it at the grocery store.

To make this recipe you will need the following ingredients:

  • heavy cream
  • milk
  • sugar
  • kosher salt
  • vanilla extract
  • blue food coloring option
  • chocolate sandwich cookie
  • chocolate chip cookie

Cookie Monster Ice Cream Recipe

Combine cream, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla. If desired, add blue food coloring to adjust color. Whisk again to combine.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions. While you’re stirring the ice cream, cut the cookies into quarters.

Scatter 1 cup of cookie pieces in the bottom of a freezer-safe container. Once the ice cream is churned, scoop half of the ice cream onto the cookie in the container and sprinkle 1 cup of cookie pieces over the ice cream.

Spread the remaining ice cream over the entire container and place the remaining cup cookie pieces on top. Freeze until firm.
