Netflix released a first look Avatar: Airbender live-action series. Appearing at the streamer’s Tudum global fan event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the cast previewed a teaser featuring elements you can see in the video posted above.
Chiaventio (Katara), Ian Ousley (Sokka), Dallas Liu (Prince Zuko) and Gordon Cormier (Aan) will form the cast for the series, which is set to premiere in 2024.
The series is the film adaptation of the popular, award-winning Nickelodeon animated series of the same name. Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) will serve as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. In addition to Kim, Rideback’s Dan Lin (The Lego Movie, Aladdin) and Lindsay Liberatore (Walker) and Michael Goy (Swamp Thing, American Horror Story) will produce. act as overall commander. Directed by Goy, Rosanne Lien (also co-executive producer), Jabbar Raisani and Jett Wilkinson.

Avatar: Airbender The stage is a world divided into four countries: the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Tribe, and the Air Nomads. “Vendors” are people who have the ability to manipulate and control elements according to the nation with telekinesis, based on Chinese martial arts. “Avatar” is the only individual that can bend all four major elements.
