Think back to October of last year. picture Doing a self-proclaimed “body-cam style” round of the game actually seemed too real – if you know what I mean.
But fast forward six months and we now have an official trailer for the game. It’s called Unrecord and comes from a developer known as Drama.
Unrecord has been described as a “single-player FPS that tells the story of a tactical cop from the perspective of a body camera.” Below you can see what it looks like yourself. That realism makes it a little uncomfortable to watch.
The developer says Unrecord will see players “work to solve complex cases” and one that requires “both tactical and detective skills to succeed”.
Meanwhile, the Unrecord programmer and co-creator shared more insights on Game Over on Twitter.
Alexandre Spindler says the game is “not a rail shooter or an FMV”. Additionally, this is not a VR game. Spindler says he uses a mouse and keyboard in the gameplay footage shown in the trailer above. It’s also not the scam that many expressed concern about.
“Actually, comparing Unrecord’s graphics to reality seems pretty flattering, but luckily the game focuses first on gameplay and space, which we mainly focus on. I know there are, ”the developer wrote in a new article. Post FAQ.
“Given the high production costs of video games and our global reputation at stake, if Unrecord is a scam, it’s a blockbuster scam. So, logically, it’s not a scam.” It doesn’t use real video or external rendering to Unreal. It’s the engine for creating Unrecord.Unrecord is (non-)real.”
It’s not a rail shooter or FMV, it’s actually an FPS, and these images are from real-time gameplay, not pre-rendered. Thank you for your feedback. https://t.co/YSMwicss6i
