Recently, I decided to start traveling closer to home. There are some places that I definitely want to cross off on my local trips. I’m sure everyone has a place or two that are similar. You know, ridiculously close and incredibly popular, but we’re not there yet. For me, that place is Ocean City, Maryland. So when I looked, it was listed as the 5th most popular summer weekend destination in the US. KAYAK’s Summer Travel Hacker’s Guide, I thought I should make travel plans.

If you want to plan your own summer weekend getaway, check out KAYAK’s TravelHacker guide. It also provides median airfares by month, shows you the best time to book each destination, and gives you great travel tips. One simple guide can greatly simplify your travel plans. Wondering where to go this summer? This is the guide for you! Pretty cool, right?

So, after reading the Kayak Ocean City Maryland Travel Hacker’s Guide, I decided to create a summer weekend itinerary for Ocean City, Maryland. I wanted to research Ocean City and document my travel goals. KAYAK actually has a great planning tool called Trips. Used this to create an itinerary (no matter where you booked, just email your booking confirmation) [email protected] KAYAK puts them all together in one itinerary – it’s free). I haven’t been yet, but I was able to pinpoint exactly what I wanted to do during my first weekend in OC.

Founded in 1875, the resort town of Ocean City is, as you might expect, famous for its beaches and 4.1 kilometers of historic boardwalk. With up to 8 million visitors each year, he is one of the East Coast’s most popular holiday destinations. If you like being near water, this is the place for you.

Ryokan on the ocean

USA Today Consistently ranked The Ocean City Boardwalk has been rated one of the “Best Boardwalks for Foodies” and named one of the “Top 10 Boardwalks to Visit in the United States.” national geographic. Did someone say great food? I really like it!

In addition to relaxing on the beach and cruising the boardwalk, I wanted to do a few things a little out of the ordinary while in Ocean City. Don’t get me wrong, I love mini golf and water parks as much as the girl next door, but those places have to wait. Ocean City is definitely a watersports enthusiast’s dream, with everything from surfing to jet skiing to fishing boat tours. However, in my itinerary to Ocean City, I made time for a morning standing paddleboard class (I can’t wait!).

On Sunday, I made time to take a boat to nearby Assateague Island to catch a glimpse of the island’s famous wild horses. The horse is believed to be the survivor of a Spanish ship that sank offshore. what i always wanted to do.

When it comes to restaurants, Ocean City seems to have too many great options. I chose a restaurant with excellent reviews and menus. And who can stand piping hot Boardwalk fries?
