She floated through the crowd, giggling from one group to another. Finally, she staggered over to a group of men, one of whom was my husband.

She probably made no sense with it, but after the party my husband and I talked about the situation, laughed a little and moved on. I’m glad we chose to talk it out and reassure each other rather than pretend it didn’t happen. It helps protect your marriage.
I wish I had done more of it.
After 31 years of marriage, I have learned many things not to do, both through observing others and making many mistakes myself. With each anniversary, my appreciation for our beautiful, quirky and sometimes less-than-perfect relationship grows. I want to keep what I have and make it better.
