3 Kombucha Cocktail Recipes
After much experimentation (that’s a lot of work, I know), we’ve landed on three classic cocktail recipes with a kombucha twist. Read on for your favorite fermented foods.
Kombucha Paloma Recipe
material:
2 ounces of tequila
2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice, wedges for garnish
½ ounce lime juice
¼ ounce agave nectar
2 ounces original or grapefruit kombucha
ice
direction: Add tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave nectar and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain and pour into an ice-filled glass. Top with kombucha. Garnish with grapefruit and rosemary slices. It’s also delicious with smoked rosemary. Light a sprig of rosemary, cover with a glass and wait 30 seconds.
Spicy Kombucha Margarita Recipe
material:
2 ounces of tequila
1/4 to 1/2 sliced jalapeno
1 ounce agave nectar
1 ounce fresh lime juice
3 ounces pineapple kombucha
direction: Place jalapenos in a cocktail shaker, add tequila, lime juice, agave nectar and ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Strain and pour into an ice-filled glass. Top with kombucha. Garnish with pineapple leaves, dried limes and chili salt. As an alternative to jalapenos, you can mix 1 ounce of Mike’s Hot Honey with lime juice and shake with tequila and ice.
Kombucha Moscow Mule Recipe
material:
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce agave nectar
4 ounces ginger kombucha
ice, mint for garnish
direction: Mix vodka, lime juice and agave nectar in a glass or mug. Add ice and top with kombucha. Garnish with lime and mint. Note: You can also scale this up to make a batch cocktail.
