Here are some of our favorite side dishes for Christmas. Some families make a big Christmas Eve dinner, while others wait until Christmas. No matter when you celebrate the holiday, side dishes are very important. We all have dishes that we look forward to each year. For me, I can’t have a Christmas lunch without my mother’s creamy mashed potatoes or my grandmother’s barley casserole (this casserole is different, but every guest I’ve ever had at the holiday table loves it (Try it!) .Forget the gift, you need those two dishes to complete!

cheesy macaroni and cheese-We make this dish every year. If you like creamy macaroni & cheese, please try it.
strawberry praline salad One of our favorite side dishes! It also looks great on the dining table.
broccoli casserole– This casserole has a lot of great reviews. It’s a favorite of our house. Plus, it’s super easy!
amish pasta salad– If you want to make a pasta salad, you need this.
maple baked beans-Great compatibility with Christmas ham! This dish is always on our table.you might like us too cranberry baked beans.
southern pea saladA classic recipe that everyone loves.
cheesy apple casserole It’s hard to photograph, but it’s a lovely side dish! Very easy to make and has great reviews.
barley casserole – This dish is always on the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner table! Unique and delicious!
broccoli raisin salad Always a hit at any gathering and makes a great side dish that can be made in advance!
Skillet Fried Apples – This recipe has always been a family favorite. It has great reviews.
Mashed Potato Casserole – This dish is very good.
Southern Spoon Bread is always a hit classic!
molasses butter skillet corn A great side dish and great taste!
banana salad– This old-fashioned recipe can be found at many holiday gatherings.
