- sliced deli ham
What kind of ham did you use?
I used brown sugar ham because I like it sweet, but honestly, deli ham is fine too. I had it sliced thinly, but it turned out to be a very delicious sandwich. Sliced ham and spiral ham can also be used easily. Perfect if you have holiday leftovers.
How long do you boil ham in a clay pot?
If using thinly sliced deli ham, cook over low heat for about 2-3 hours. We want the ham to blend in with the other ingredients to get great flavor. If you are using spiral ham or sliced ham, we recommend cooking on low heat for about 4 hours.
I found it easy to eat leftovers because the ham can be reheated the next day. This makes about 4 sandwiches, so if you have a large group, just double it.
How to serve this crockpot ham sandwich?
Place these on a hamburger bun and serve with your favorite chips or summer pasta salad. I love topping with any of the following:
Add these delicious salads to create a complete meal.
