The homemade peppermint ice cream is one of the creamiest ice creams I’ve ever made, and it’s a far cry from the mint flavored ice creams you can find in stores.
From start to finish, pure peppermint deliciousness with no hint of chemicals or mass-produced flavors.

Peppermint ice cream is surprisingly light, sweet, and minty. The first time I made this, I think I dipped the spoon into the freezer container about 15 times. I’m not even a huge peppermint fan!

- Place the candy and milk in a food processor or blender and pulse until the candy is finely ground and mostly dissolved in the milk.
- Mix cream, sugar, vanilla, peppermint extract and salt. Pour into an ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Serve immediately as a soft serve, or transfer to an airtight container and freeze until firm.
Cooking Tip: Learn from my mistake, be careful to use pure peppermint extract, read the ingredients and make sure the extract contains only peppermint.
I accidentally bought a pure “mint” extract and ended up with a blend of spearmint and peppermint. rice field.
