If you’re looking for a dairy-free option, you can replace the butter with vegan butter or simply use extra olive oil. You can omit it.

Shrimp Linguine vs. Traditional Shrimp Scampi

Both shrimp linguine and traditional shrimp scampi feature juicy shrimp cooked in a rich garlic sauce, but there are some key differences between the two dishes. Shrimp linguine incorporates the tangy flavor of lemon juice and lemon zest and a hint of spice from chili flakes and is typically served with linguine he pasta. Shrimp scampi, on the other hand, is a simpler dish, often cooked in a white wine and butter sauce, and can be served with a variety of pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the flavorful sauces. Adding grated parmesan and fresh parsley to the shrimp linguine gives it an Italian flair that sets it apart from the classic shrimp scampi that many know and love.

serving suggestions

Shrimp linguine is served as a main course with a fresh green salad and crisp bread. Or, pair it with steamed or roasted vegetables for a fuller meal. A crisp white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, perfectly complements the flavors of the dish.
