Welcome to the weekend! I’m finally home. We had so much fun exploring Tennessee with our youngest son. (And, before I forget, a huge thank you to Mary for emailing me while I was in Gatlinburg and recommending Hillbilly to play her golf. What a fun afternoon!) Now that I am Let me admit that there is infatuated We won’t be leaving the house until mid-July due to our annual family camping trip.

Hang out with friends in the summer, barbecue with friends, or spend a lazy afternoon in a hammock or rocking chair. I’m ready for everything. (I have 14,793 dishes to wash, piles of laundry that everyone has to do, and a lot of other mundane tasks so I don’t think my life is always picturesque. there will be.)

But among them are blue skies, sunshine, warm rain bringing in disgusting dampness (check reality), and as many outdoor moments as possible.

About blog This week: Crispy warm tortillas stuffed generously with chicken, peppers and melty cheese are a great way to make a great dinner or use up a bit of leftovers. Who would refuse a piping hot chicken fajita quesadilla for lunch? (not me!)

Mexican-spiced red potatoes are roasted, tossed with sautéed onions, peppers and beans, and finished off with warm, slightly wilted spinach in this black bean breakfast skillet. A hearty, filling and slightly spicy weekend breakfast topped with soft or scrambled eggs. You can easily double the amount for a large group.

Thanks to the magic of slow cooking, Make buttery caramelized onions in your slow cooker with almost no effort.

Served with crunchy vegetables, juicy tomatoes, tender peas, cheddar cheese, hearty bacon and eggs, and a bright, smoky dressing. This old-fashioned 7-layer salad does more than you expect.

Made with sweet corn, ripe peppers, red onions and jalapeños, seasoned with a fragrant spice combination and a touch of fresh coriander. A spoonful of this fiesta cone A wonderful blend of flavors.

Rhubarb bar with shortbread crust and tangy rhubarb custard filling A fun and easy spring dessert.this Rhubarb sauce with strawberry jelly A popular traditional rhubarb snack. Drizzle it over ice cream or serve it like applesauce in a bowl.

Moist, sweet, and slightly spiced, this carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is a sweet tooth’s dream.

A chewy blondie filled with chocolate and toasted coconut. Could any dessert make me happier? No chance for now. This coconut cookie bar simply makes me happy.

In this Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ice Cream, warm, fragrant cinnamon spice blends perfectly with cool, velvety ice cream to create a tantalizing treat with caramelized cereal.

What I crave: My friend Rebecca is obsessed with really great pizza topping combinations.she Chick Fil A Pizza Sounds really incredible!

my favorite This week This simple cheese grater. I’ve had the same grater (originally from IKEA) for over 15 years and it’s the most convenient grater I’ve ever used with a storage container and a rubber grip on the bottom to prevent slipping.

I’m so happy to finally find something on Amazon that I like as much and have already gifted it to several people. This is a very inexpensive tool and I like it much better than the fancy (and expensive) graters I’ve been using.

What I see: jesus revolution. So many people recommended this movie to me, but in my heart I thought, ‘Oh, another Christian movie. I really don’t want to see it,” and kept it in a file.

I’d be happy to tell you that I was wrong on this one. This movie is definitely worth watching. You can deliver the true message of Christ without feeling preachy or annoying. (I’m also good at acting.)

This is the true story of a young hippie’s search for belonging and purpose in the 1970s. His path is the beginning of a new counterculture movement that has changed not only his own life, but the lives of many others.

What I hear: I still love Nathaniel Ratliff very much. If you haven’t checked him out yet, please do so. listen today!

“A happy heart is like good medicine, but a broken heart wears you out.” Proverbs 17:22 NCV

I hope you have a wonderful week full of small things that make you smile!
