Personal Growth in 2023: It All Starts with Reflection
Today, I look back on all the positive growth of the past year and celebrate how it has manifested itself, while also welcoming more opportunities to learn and change in 2023. In this moment of personal growth, I want to invite all that can influence my continued upward spiral.
Camille Styles has served me year after year as a source of inspiration to help me live my best life. I learned how to fill my days with more joy.
But before we look ahead, let’s look back together. Below, I share three questions that helped me clear the clutter and get to the heart of what I really want in my life.
Three Questions to Lead to Meaningful Change
- do i like who i see? Let me be the first to tell you that in life your looks are probably not the most important thing to you. Instead, I looked for more resonant details in the mirror. I’m here. Puffiness under the eyes suggests that you need to recommit to sleep hygiene. My skin is lifeless, which inspires me to drink more water and fill it with healthy fats. Please make
- do i like how i feel Do you drink coffee at 3pm every day? Does your workout drain you instead of energizing you? Reflect on how you feel in your body and mind. By paying attention to how I feel physically and mentally, I have been able to make small but significant changes and produce transformative results.
- do i like the way i live This is a broad question, but it gets to the heart of what it takes to live the life you’ve always dreamed of.It affects your relationships, your work, and how you spend your time. my advice? Keep a time diary for the week. Each day, take note of the times and activities that fill your time. At the end of the seven days, reflect and reassess. what do you want to remove? What would you like to create more space for?
Everything you need to experience personal growth this year
Now is the time to intentionally shape the person you are becoming. On this final day of the year, I’ve compiled all the words, insights, and expert advice that have helped me grow personally this past year. From creating a journaling habit, to packing fun foods into your meals, to creating a space you love and feel comfortable in, here’s everything you need to feel your best in 2023.
Try Journaling — It Might Change Your Life
Journaling is one of the best ways to make positive changes in your life. But as someone who’s been listening to that advice forever and hadn’t put it into practice until a few months ago, I’ve found infinite truth to its claims. , helps you organize your thoughts and lead to sparks you might not otherwise have. There is even better news. It doesn’t have to be difficult. Just a few minutes each day, starting with a guided journal. You’ll be amazed at how well it works.
Trust in the Power of Manifestation
Much like journaling, I have always been skeptical about the practice of manifestation. Can envisioning and dreaming of your best life really help you achieve it? In my opinion, this concept was comparable to Toxic Positive. But after speaking with a manifestation expert, I realized I couldn’t have been more wrong. When I asked how I could trust it to actually work, she shared a few words that completely changed my view of the manifesto.
The goal isn’t always to get everything you want, but to be the first person you want to be.
When we understand that we are in partnership with the universe (or the “higher powers” you aspire to be), we realize that we are always endowed with the power to create the life that is available to us.
rely on food as medicine
One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions we often make is to eat healthier. But what does that mean in practice?Sure, you can opt for regular salads or banish packaged foods from your pantry, but what does that accomplish? I want to adopt the mindset of focusing on things that help me feel better. Make smoothies in the morning. Or you can enjoy pizza night with your girlfriends.
In short, a healthy life is a life full of diversity. What if, instead of depriving ourselves of rigid dietary rules, we forged a kinder, more loving relationship with food that powers our days and brings more joy to our lives?
Find a habit that brings you joy
2022 was all about romanticizing the small, seemingly mundane moments of my everyday life. Instead of sipping coffee while reading emails, I lit a candle and carefully enjoyed my first sip of the morning. Instead of getting bogged down in my usual weekend routine, I started looking for novelty and new experiences in my city. The point is that we can always choose how we spend our time. And personally, I’d rather fill my days with happy, happy habits and routines that make me appreciate the life I’m living in the moment.
