A few people have asked me for a recipe for 7-Up biscuits. I made two 7-up biscuits. The first batch used Bisquick and the second batch used self-rising flour.
7-Up Biscuit Ingredients Needed:
Bisquick or Jiffy-like baking mix or self-rising flour, depending on which version you’re making
sour cream
butter
7 up
Most of the recipes I’ve found online use baking mix instead of flour in their recipes. This was not enough and the dough was really damp. Both recipes worked fine. I think it would have been taller with the self rising flour, but it might have been a little plumper with the baking mix. I really liked the one with a little more flour than the baking mix and it used less flour. You can choose what you want to bake and make your own comparison.

7 up biscuits
This recipe shows two great ways to make 7 biscuits. You can make it with self rising flour or baking mix.
Serving: Ten biscuit
7-up biscuits with baking mix:
- 3 cup Baking mix like Bisquick or Jiffy
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine or 4 tablespoons melt (I used real butter)
- 1/2 cup 7 up
7-Up Biscuits with Self Rising Flour:
- 2 cup self rising flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine or 4 tablespoons melt (I used real butter)
- 1/2 cup 7 up

Cut sour cream into baking mix until mixture resembles course crumbs. Add Seven Up and mix with a spoon. Pour melted butter onto baking sheet. (You will need a baking sheet or casserole with sides. Drop or roll the biscuits and cut them on top of the butter. Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Note: I use a biscuit cutter to I cut the stuff off and brushed the top with more melted butter about 2 minutes before it was done.
