French toast muffins Ingredients needed:

French bread

egg

evaporated milk

brown sugar

vanilla extract

maple extract

ground cinnamon

ground nutmeg

Granulated sugar

icing sugar

Maple syrup

These muffins are perfect for the holiday season. You can make it all at once, so it’s easier than making French toast in a frying pan. You can double this recipe for a larger group and add many delicious toppings.

  • Topped with honey instead of maple syrup
  • Toss the pecans on top before putting in the oven
  • Add some strawberries straight out of the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

These baked French toast muffins are super easy to make and perfect for any gathering.

  • 12 slice of French bread Enjoy with your favorite bread
  • Four egg
  • 1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tea spoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tea spoon maple extract
  • 3/4 tea spoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tea spoon nutmeg

Sprinkle:

  • 2 tablespoon white granulated sugar
  • 1 tea spoon ground cinnamon

For serving:

  • icing sugar
  • Maple syrup
  • Cut bread into 1-inch cubes. Bread should be dry or stale bread.

  • Spread out on a baking sheet and place in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes to allow the bread cubes to dry out.

  • Combine eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla and maple extract, 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg in a bowl.

  • Add bread cubes to bowl and soak all mixture. Spray or grease him put bread his cubes in 12 muffin molds.

  • Whisk together 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, sprinkle on bread cubes, and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.

  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup.

  • Makes 12 muffins.
