baked french toast muffins
These baked French toast muffins are super easy to make and perfect for any gathering.
Serving: Four serving
- 12 slice of French bread Enjoy with your favorite bread
- Four egg
- 1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tea spoon vanilla extract
- 1 tea spoon maple extract
- 3/4 tea spoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tea spoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoon white granulated sugar
- 1 tea spoon ground cinnamon
- icing sugar
- Maple syrup
Cut bread into 1-inch cubes. Bread should be dry or stale bread.
Spread out on a baking sheet and place in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes to allow the bread cubes to dry out.
Combine eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla and maple extract, 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg in a bowl.
Add bread cubes to bowl and soak all mixture. Spray or grease him put bread his cubes in 12 muffin molds.
Whisk together 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon, sprinkle on bread cubes, and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup.
