These black walnut cookies are super easy to make and super delicious. If you like black walnuts, you will love this cookie. Lee and I worked at Baskin Robbins in high school and always loved their black walnut ice cream. So these cookies were a hit!
Black Walnut Cookie Ingredients:
butter
white sugar
brown sugar (light or dark)
egg
vanilla flavoring
all purpose flour
baking soda
cream cheese chips
black walnut
I made these cookies with Hershey’s Cream Cheese Chips (similar to chocolate chips, but with a cream cheese flavor). I bought it at Kroger and it’s really delicious. If you can’t find chips, you can always purchase a tin of cream cheese frosting and frost these cookies as well.
Black walnuts have a unique flavor that is stronger than regular walnuts. I thought these cookies were better the next day, so you can easily make them ahead of time!

black walnut cookie
This black walnut cookie is exquisite! Easy to make!
Serving: 6 serving
- 2 Butterstick or 1 cup softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
- 3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tea spoon of baking soda
- 1 1/2 cup cream cheese chips
- 1 cup of chopped black walnuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Add baking soda and cake flour and keep mixing.

Add cream cheese chips and walnuts.

Spoon onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
You can make 24-36 cookies, depending on the size you make. Serving sizes are set based on the number of cookies one person eats. I have set to 4 cookies. I made these cookies a little bigger, and they were perfect in 15 minutes.
