My family loves oatmeal in any way, shape, or form you can serve it. So finding new ways to make and serve it makes us all happy.

Blueberry Baked Oatmeal is a hearty breakfast that can be stirred together in just a few minutes.

As an aside, you know I’m obsessed with the weather now that I live in Ohio. This she loves mornings all week. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, freshly baked oatmeal sounds better than ever.

Muesli-style slow-cooker oatmeal, nut granola, peach, cream oatmeal with sweet bites of fruit and melty brown sugar, crunchy baked oatmeal. we love them all. And I don’t think any of us would refuse a warm oatmeal cookie.

With all these varieties to choose from, we can say without a doubt that our all-time favorite way to make oatmeal for breakfast is baking. Blueberries in oatmeal? It’s a sure fire victory.

Eating oatmeal feels special when you take it fresh out of the oven in the morning. Whether you add apples, berries, dried fruit, or crunchy nuts, you’re sure to find a perfect oatmeal prep in the morning.

This blueberry oatmeal bake is loaded with fresh berries, but you can also make it with frozen blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries.

I enjoy chopped strawberries in my oatmeal, but I’ve had no luck using frozen strawberries.

My boys eat like ravenous wolves, so this is a large-batch recipe—perfectly filling a 9×13 loaf.

This recipe scales well for smaller portions with less oatmeal. Divide ingredients in half and bake in an 8-inch or 9-inch square pan for 35 minutes.

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. Butter or coat a 9×13 pan with cooking spray. set aside.

Place oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Mix. Add oil, eggs and milk and mix. Add blueberries and stir some more.

Scoop oat mixture into greased skillet and bake for 50 minutes. The oatmeal should be lightly browned and slightly crisp on the top and edges. The inserted knife is mostly clean with damp crumbs.

Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Slice into servings or scoop servings with a spoon.

Oatmeal in advance

This makes a great pre-made breakfast or freezer meal. Allow oatmeal to cool completely before chopping or scooping.

Store oatmeal in an airtight freezer bag or container. Reheat in the microwave with 1 tablespoon water.

I already told you that oatmeal is a favorite in our family. What I haven’t mentioned is how much a breakfast built around blueberries excites me.

I’m not exactly sure about blueberries, but everything from these banana-blueberry pancakes to crispy, buttery blueberry waffles topped with maple syrup or your grandmother’s waffle sauce makes me laugh.

The Blueberry Lemon Baked French Toast is unlike any other French Toast Casserole I have tasted. With a texture similar to bread pudding and without being a little soggy, this was everything I wanted. The lemon maple syrup cuts through the typical French toast sweetness, and the blueberries add a sweet tartness to the dish.

Why not try one more blueberry oatmeal? Blueberry and cream oatmeal is my go-to. I don’t have much time, but I want something great as a breakfast option. Made on the stovetop, they puff up when cooked and are filled with blueberries bursting with flavor with every bite.
