fleet of rental vehicles President Joe Biden’s Details of the Secret Service during a trip to Nantucket for Thanksgiving were destroyed in a fire the day after he left.
The vehicle was rented by the Biden Party, Chevrolet SuburbanFord Explorer, Infiniti QX80, Ford Expedition, Jeep Gladiator. They started a fire in a parking lot at Nantucket Memorial Airport, and although no one was injured in the fire, the fire is being investigated by authorities.
Footage captured at the scene and shared on social media showed the front panels of all five cars severely damaged, but the flames were extinguished before completely engulfing all five cars.

“At approximately 5:22 a.m., airport shift staff confirmed via the airport’s closed-circuit television system that there was an active fire in the rental car overflow area,” Nantucket Airport said on Twitter. . “Staff activated an alert system and responded to the fire at Airport 3, where they encountered response forces from the Nantucket Fire Department and Nantucket Police Department. Combined fire resources responded and contained the fire. The vehicle was damaged.”

The Nantucket Current says flames spread within 40 feet (12 m) of the airport’s 25,000-gallon jet fuel tank. Own all 5 vehicles hertz There were reports that Ford Expedition was involved in the battery recall but had not replaced the battery at the time of the fire.

The car was owned by Hertz and had just been returned by a member of the Secret Service who had been using the car during President Biden’s visit.
