Simple Shrimp Sauté:

  • 1 lb jumbo shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tea spoon garlic powder
  • 1 tea spoon onion powder
  • 1 tea spoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 tea spoon cumin
  • 1/2 tea spoon salt
  • 1/2 tea spoon black pepper
  • 1/4 tea spoon cayenne pepper


  • 4 10- inch flour tortilla
  • 1 1/2-2 cup cooked and chopped shrimp
  • 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Four tablespoon butter
  • Four tablespoon salsa
  • Guacamole for service

Simple Shrimp Sauté:

  • Place shrimp in a large mixing bowl and add olive oil and lemon juice.

  • Sprinkle paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper over shrimp.

  • Cook shrimp in a large skillet over medium heat until translucent and fully cooked, about 3 to 4 minutes. You can also grill or air fry the shrimp.


  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

  • Place tortilla on top of melted butter and sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese evenly over top.

  • Place 1/2 cup cooked shrimp on one half of the tortilla and spread 1 tablespoon salsa on the other half.

  • Let stand for 3-4 minutes until cheese melts, then fold tortilla in half.

  • Cook for 1 more minute, then flip the quesadilla so the other side is browned to your liking, ensuring the cheese is completely melted.

  • Repeat steps 1-5 with remaining tortillas and ingredients, adding butter if desired.

  • Remove the quesadillas from the skillet and cut into wedges.

  • Serve with guacamole, sour cream and extra salsa.


You can use simply cooked shrimp or you can use flavorful sautéed shrimp. Just be sure to remove the tail.
