Irish Whiskey Apple Cake is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, or any time you need a great cake. You can use your imagination and decorate it as you like. You can make a few different colored glazes and add some Easter eggs to make it completely different. I love using it with coffee.

Ingredients for Irish Whiskey Apple Cake:

all purpose flour

baking powder

baking soda

ground cinnamon

ground nutmeg

Granulated sugar

vanilla extract

sour cream

grated apple

seedless raisins

Your favorite Irish whiskey (bourbon can also be used in this recipe)

pecan or walnut pieces

Glaze ingredients:

icing sugar

vanilla essence (optional)

Irish whiskey (optional)

If you want this cake to pop on St. Patrick’s Day, add green food coloring to the glaze. A wonderful cake perfect to enjoy with friends and family. The apples give this cake a moist flavor.

If you don’t want to use alcohol in this recipe, you can easily omit it. As one person commented, you can either use applesauce to soak the raisins or just water.
